I have received some exciting news this week. For most of summer, I have been beavering away on applications and planning an overseas lighting adventure. This week I found out I have been accepted to the Banff Centre Summer Work Study program, to work as a Lighting Assistant on their Opera Program. So, the overseas study tour is shaping up to be quite a little adventure.
I will be starting out in New York in May, attending the Broadway Lighting Master class (the final part of my ArtStart funding), off to Prague in June for PQ (Prague Quadrennial) and then to Banff for July-August.
There are still plenty of things to keep me busy until I go. These are the Isolate is still showing at Theatre Works until the end of the week and I am also currently working on The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later – which is being produced by Red Stitch opening in April.
